About Us
Meet the Tapatribe
Bula! Our names are Peni and Natalie Tapaweluwelu. We are an American-Fijian family with three little warriors. We live in Northern California, and will soon be planting new roots in Viti Levu, Fiji. We are lovers of Jesus and his Kingdom, chasers of lakes, oceans, waterfalls, joy and good coffee. We love sports, culture and the arts (biased rugby lovers over here).
Peni and I met in Melbourne, Australia in YWAM while training with a Polynesian dance company and then got to travel together, performing even after getting married!
I am an artist, teacher and musician.
Peni is a choreographer and traditional Fijian dancer.
Our lives have been spent mentoring youth in various contexts...and we have a huge heart to see healthy and healed mothers, fathers and youth functioning in their true identities throughout Fiji and Jesus made famous in the islands!

Our Vision for Fiji
Our vision is to steward creative safe havens, where those who are needing to heal from cycles of trauma, can encounter their Heavenly Father and be restored into beauty, courage, peace, joy, and wildly free expression! We want to see a nation of whole and healed artists, musicians and athletes creating a Holy Renaissance, putting the Kingdom of God on display across the nations!
Singing Feather: Pasifika
We are excited to announce Singing Feather Ministries is now establishing a presence in the Pacific Islands. Building on Singing Feather Ministries’ 17 years of commitment to indigenous peoples and First Nations communities, Singing Feather Pasifika aims to carry the same spirit through the Pacific Islands, serving, honoring, and empowering the Indigenous people of the region.
After visiting multiple times, our family truly feels the call of the Lord and have a renewed sense of purpose for this new chapter.
In addition, we’re excited to bring our love of worship through traditional music, art, and dance to collaborate with Fiji’s artists, carrying a fresh wind of the Holy Spirit to the cultural arts of the region. We believe there is a renaissance that will come from those who have been vulnerable, and as they step into their identity and freedom, choose fresh glorious praise of Father God through all art forms!
Together, we look forward to fostering collaborations that honor, bring hope, and release restoration among the diverse peoples we serve.
Join us in this journey as Singing Feather expands our commitment to serving the people of Turtle Island to the people of the Turtle Waters, empowering Indigenous Pacific communities.
